The CW is Gettin' Kinda Chili...

The CW is getting yet another advertising partnership starting this October. Chili's is now partnering up with the CW to bring the networks logos and images to Chili's restaurant. Under the agreement The CW will be able to put their brands on Chili's coaster, bags, gift cards, signs and even the employees uniforms. Wow...now that is some advertising. I could just see my waitress serving my Baby Back ribs with Loreli on the back of her red polo shirt! TV Guide Channel is running a special called, "Get Ready for the CW." It's an hour preview of the networks fall lineup and is actually on as we speak! Check your listings, it looks like it's going to be on a few more times this weekend. And P.S. TV Guide channel, nobody watches you for that scrolling guide anymore!

American Eagle to Dress up The CW...

The CW is going to be cross-promoting with American Eagle starting October 3rd. American Eagle recently came out with a new clothing line called Aerie for girls aged 15-25. The CW will dub Tuesday nights "Aeries Tuesdays on The CW" and air promo spots throughout the night. In addition, American Eagle will promote the CW programs on their website and in their store. Who wants to bet we'll be seeing a lot of American Eagle clothes during our shows this season?

American Idol Rewind...

Let's watch the first season of American Idol again. Here's a spoiler, Kelly wins. American Idol rewind is a hour long series being shopped for syndication. The CW picked it up in my area so you might be so lucky as to watch Season 1 of AI with never before seen footage and interviews also. I was being sarcastic if you couldn't tell. Why anyone would watch is beyond me...yet I probably will and don't lie, so will you. It will air on Saturday nights starting in late September so check your local listing. Let's American Idol fast forward...I see an overkill of this series: American Idol Rewind Season 2, Season 3, Season 4, Season 5, Season 6...

The Takeover...

At least they gave him a job...

Justin Hartley, who starred in the not picked up pilot Aquaman, is set to play Green Arrow in the 6th season of Smallville. Green Arrow is another comic book character whose alter ego is Oliver Queen, a wealthy rich kid who went to boarding school with Lex Luthor. Correct me if I'm wrong, I get a bit confused with alter egos. Although I have about 6. The Aquaman pilot is available on itunes and is actually pretty good. After I watched it I was pretty mad that The CW didn't pick it up. Like I said, at least they gave the kid a job.

Jared and Jensen are Cheaper than Loreli and Rory!

So Gilmore Girls season six may be 59.98, but Season one of Supernatural is now available on Amazon.com for only $37.27. What are with these weird prices people? Maybe the numbers mean something? hmmm...3+7=10. 10.27 take 1 away from the 10 and add it to the 27 (stay with me), you get 9.28 or September 28th, the day Supernatural Premiers on CW. Wow. Freaky. Or maybe I just have to much time on my hands. Oh by the way, the price of Gilmore Girls season six dropped on Amazon to $38.87. Again with the weird prices...hmmm...give me a minute....

WHY?

New episodes of Everybody Hates Chris will start to air starting October 1st on Sundays at 7:00 followed by All of Us. Is it just me or is that a strange time slot? PLEASE CW, don't kill this show...Don't hate Chris!

Veronica Mars fans are Hardcore...

Seriously. Last year they flew a banner over the UPN headquarters to save the show and now the peeps at watchveronicamars.net are buying VM season one DVD's and donating them to libraries across the country. So far they raised money to buy 100 sets and are donating them to libraries in the top 100 Nielson rating areas. Very smart Veronica mars Watchers. If only the networks we're as creative as the fans, maybe some of the best shows would still be on the air...cough, cough, Jack & Bobby, cough, cough...

Special Advanced Screenings! Sort of...

Well, it is an advanced screening, but not really special because anyone can watch it! Still, The CW is going to offer preview episodes of Everybody Hates Chris, Veronica Mars and the new show Runaway a week before their on air premier. The shows will be available to watch on MSN.com starting with Runaway on September 18th, Chris on the 24th and Veronica Mars on September 26th. Seems like a good idea, get the word out on The CW through the MSN website...sneaky!
